I have in my computer a multitude of .dll files, many of them with the same name repeated in many locations and in many different folders. How can I eliminate this unnecessary repetition and waste of memory space.

Different programs might require DLL-files from different locations. One program might require the DLL-file to be in it's own installation folder, while another program might require it to be in the system32 folder instead.
So there's no real way to safely remove the duplicates without the risk of a program might stop working.
DLL-files aren't very big either, so the waste of space on the harddrive shouldn't impact your system too much.
