Re: Strange File
Hi, Ccleaner won't clear a file in use. Looks to me like this is a temp file used in maintaining the wireless device on your system, either part of the device drivers or a networking protocol maintaining the connection. Disconnect and turn off the wireless device on your system and you will likely ...

Re: Microsoft register server faults
Hi, 1) What does the software support recommend for an OS for this software, is it Vista compliant? Have you checked with their support yet? 2) You might try to right click the setup file on the installation disk and use 'run as adminstrator' as opposted to just autorunning it. -- Best of Luck, Rick ...

Re: Vbruz.dll missing when I boot my machine
Hi, Assuming you spelled it correctly, it sounds like your antivirus software did half of its job. That's not a system file, nor would it be in that location. It was probably a virus that your av product identified and removed. Problem is, it didn't remove the startup entry that tries to load it ...

Hi, At bootup, hit F8 to load the boot menu. From the list, try either the Last Known Good Configuration, or Safe Mode with Command Prompt where you can run rstrui.exe (System Restore). -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www ...

Re: Windows explorer crashes
Hi, I'm betting that you installed a codec package recently that included xvid.dll, the module indictated in your error message. Likely it is that this is the cause of your issues. Many of these prepackaged codec distributions are known to cause and create issues with both explorer and the media ...

Re: RunDLL error and how to clean up registry
Hi MJ, First, you don't need a registry cleaner. In fact, that's the last thing you need. What have (had, actually), is an infected file that your antivirus software removed. Problem is, it wasn't able to remove the entry in the startup axis that loaded it when the machine was started. These are not ...

Re: RegCure?
Hi, RegCure is more likely to completely hose your system, not fix it. Hopefully you are not running the command as you have it written. It should be: regsvr32 mmcndmgr.dll Note that yours is missing the space in the middle, and had a comma before the file extension instead of a period. As well, in ...
