Program Will Not Replace DLL file

Post by signmanbob »

I purchased the DLL-Files.com Client in order to try and see if a new ntdll.dll file will solve my crashes that were faulting this file in Windows logs.
I am using Windows 7 64bit version, but I am getting a message that I don't have permission to replace this file when I try to replace it through your program.
I am running the client as administrator. How can I get it to replace this .dll file?

Thank you,
Bob

Hello signmanbob,

ntdll.dll is an important system file, that is always in use when in Windows.

If this file was missing or corrupted, I do not believe you would be able to use Windows.

What is the issue you were hoping to resolve by replacing this file?
What is the exact and complete error message you get regarding this file?
When do you get this error?
Which program is requesting this file?

What have you tried so far for solving this error?

Best regards
Erik

Hello Erik,
Thank you for your reply and support.
My hobby is flying realistically on my home computer using complex payware aircraft.
I am getting a very persistent ntdll.dll error that is crashing my Lockheed Martin "Prepar3d" flight simulator.
It doesn't seem to matter which aircraft that I fly, the simulator would crash with the same ntdll.dll error.
I thought that this .dll file might be to blame, but now I suspect that it is merely the messenger bringing the bad news, which is that I have other problems.
I tried to replace the .dll file using your program, but got the above error.
Since, I have reinstalled Prepar3d with the newer version and disabled all of my payware addons, except just a couple, trying to pinpoint which addon is causing this ntdll.dll crash.
I am using Windows 7 64bit with 64Gigs of ram and a GTX970 graphics card.

Below is a sample of the Windows Log file after a crash:

Hi Signmanbob,

I believe this can be solved by upgrading or re-installing your graphics drivers and software.

It might also be caused by incompatibility with some graphics settings in card software or game.

I am sorry I can not be more specific, and hope this helps.

I will check that Erik. Your suggestions give me some new things to try. Thank you.
