api-ms-win-core-version-l1-1-1.dll

Post by Duck179 »

I'd like to know if there is any chance of you having an api-ms-win-core-version-l1-1-1.dll as 64 bit
Because i'm having that problem on opening a game and says it needs this dll, I already searched many other websites and nothing was usefull to me. By the way, I'm using Windows 8.1 if that helps.
Thank you.

We already have a 64bit version of it to download from:
https://www.dll-files.com/api-ms-win-co ... 1.dll.html
Scroll down a little bit on the page and you will find it below the 32bit version,

That missing DLL error usually means the game is trying to use a Windows system file that isn’t available or properly registered on your version of Windows. The api-ms-win-core-version-l1-1-1.dll file is part of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable or newer Windows 10+ system libraries, so it’s not officially distributed separately.

Here’s what you can try safely:

Update your Visual C++ Redistributables – Install the latest x64 version from Microsoft’s official website.

Run Windows Update – Some newer DLLs are added through updates, even on Windows 8.1.

Avoid downloading DLLs from random sites – Many are unsafe or mismatched versions.

If the game still won’t open, it might simply require a newer OS version (Windows 10 or 11).
