I don't know if this is part of why my computer is so bogged down, but when I
restart my computer I get the above message. I search the web and get
nothing. I have found this in msconfig/startup. I uncheck it and when I
restart I don't get the message. BUT - what is it? I also found it in the
registry editor, "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared
Tools\MSConfig\startupreg\1c9d0023" name: command, type:REG_SZ. What is
going on that I get the error message and how do I fix it. Roy

A Google search for "rvwcfvas.dll" brought up nothing. When you don't get
any hits for a file name on Google, chances are high that it is a malware
file. Either you uninstalled the malware program or your
antivirus/antispyware program did. In any case, a reference was left to the
file in Startup. You can remove the reference by managing your Startup.
Because you had one piece of malware, the chances are also high that you had
others. It would be a good idea to scan, particularly since you indicate
that your computer is still slow. Here are general malware removal steps.
It would be worth your time to go through them, not skipping the prep work:

In the meantime, you can stop the error message by managing your startup:
Start>Run>msconfig [enter]
This brings up the System Configuration Utility. Look on the Startup tab and
find the probable culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, Apply and OK
out. You don't need to restart immediately, but the next time you do you'll
get a dialog saying you've used the Utility. Just tick the box that says in
effect, "don't bother me about this again".
