Lately whenever i log on to my Windows XP home edition I get this message the
windows file etojafoqipofev/dll is missing
Does anyone know what that means? Where can I find that item?
Do I need to reinstall it?

Scan for malware from here:

You can download this tool "AutoRuns for Windows"

And remove the entry from here:

Locate this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run = look in
the right pane/window and remove the entry for it
"C:\program~1etojafoqipofev.dll "

Run disk cleanup and defrag in safe mode. Then run this command:
sfc /scannow

It was probably a Trojan or virus that has been deleted from the drive but
there is still an entry in one of the run keys in the registry. If you are
familiar with editing the registry, the most likely place for the entry will
be here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

If you are not familiar, go to the Start menu, Run and type: msconfig.
Look for the entry on the Startup tab and when found, click the box to
remove the mark. Click OK and choose to restart your computer. On the
resulting screen, mark the box so the screen doesn't appear at each boot and
click OK.

In order:
- It likely means you have/had been infested with malware of some sort.
- You are unlikely - given what it likely means - to *want* to find it.
- You likely (given what you have and what it likely means) to want to
re-install said file.

Download, install, run, update and perform a full scan (separately) with the
following two applications (freeware versions are the ones to use for this):

SuperAntiSpyware
http://www.superantispyware.com/

MalwareBytes
http://www.malwarebytes.com/

After performing a full scan with one and then the other and removing
whatever they both find completely, you may uninstall these products,
if you wish.

Reboot.

Start button --> RUN and type in:
%SystemRoot%\system32\net stop wuauserv
--> Click OK.

Start button --> RUN and type in:
%SystemRoot%\system32\regsvr32 %SystemRoot%\system32\wups2.dll
--> Click OK.

Start button --> RUN and type in:
%SystemRoot%\system32\net start wuauserv
--> Click OK.

Download the latest version of the Windows Update agent from here (x86):
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=91237
.... and save it to the root of your C:\ drive. After saving it to the root
of the C:\ drive, do the following:

Close all Internet Explorer windows and other applications.

Start button --> RUN and type in:
%SystemDrive%\windowsupdateagent30-x86.exe /WUFORCE
--> Click OK.

(If asked, select "Run.) --> Click on NEXT --> Select "I agree" and click on
NEXT --> When it finishes installing, click on "Finish"...

Reboot.

Download/Install the latest Windows Installer:

Reboot.

Download/install and run/clean up with "CCleaner"... (SLIM)
http://www.ccleaner.com/download/builds

Reboot.

It`s a bug - do a search for it in the registry and delete it .

This message means that your antivirus program is working! The giveaway is
the semi-random generated file name.

The file it's referring to is a virus, trojan, or other malware, and you
don't want to find it OR reinstall it.

Your antivirs program detected the file and removed it, but left behind the
launcher reference.

So, all you want to do is find the reference and delete it. Go to Start,
Run, type msconfig and press Enter, and you should find what you're looking
for.

The fact that your antivirus found this should indicate to you that you may
need to examine your browsing habits.
