Can't get youtube to work

Post by kristin »

Everytime I try to watch a video on youtube it says this program has
performed an illegal operation and the description of the error is:

FIREFOX executed an invalid instruction in
module npswf32.dll at 0167:101c2ddd.

This exact same thing happens with Internet explorer.
Does anyone know what I can do?

1. This is an Adobe Flash player module. An upgrade
was announced recently -- but may not be appropriate
for us Win98 users.
2. We should be sure you are using Firefox v.2 (not
v.3 which I doubt Win98 supports.)

Youtube is severely screwed up. Even Linux is not working on youtube.
Take a look at this skiing video. How the heck can this happen?

Then I read that Linux users are having problems too, like this Linux
video. WTF?

I find that when I go to a page with a YouTube video on it, it's fairly
certain to crash Netscape (7.2) - but also Firefox if I bother to try
with that. (Yes I know they have common ancestry, but I thought the
firefox was so much newer that it would be proof. IT isn't. I don't have
IE.)
