Entry Point Not Found Need Help please!

A couple of days ago when i started my computer I got a window titled Entry Point Not Found, and the window says "The Procedure point_ismbcspace could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcr71.dll." At first I would just click ok and the window would disapear but now it wont let me open certain programs because I get that same window when I open certain of those programs. Can anyone please help me. I saw an earlier post with the same problem and the person couldn't open IE, and they were telling him to re-install IE, but my problem is different because its other programs which i've already uninstalled and I still get the same window. Can anyone please help me.
