Whenever I try playing a mp3 file and only an mp3 file, I get "Windows
Media Player has stopped working" and only choices of check online for
solution which doesn't do anything when I send or close this program.
:(I'm not sure if it's because I installed K-Lite codec pack basic? I've
installed it before and was able to play mp3's fine until suddenly one
day, it stopped working. I've tried uninstalling K-Lite,
configure the codecs, tried their detect and fix codec errors option,
even disabled their LAME mp3 codec and nothing seems to work. I'm not
quite sure what seems to be the problem. I've searched online for a few
suggestions like: maybe using AC3 filter whcih doesn't support Vista but
I don't know how to unregister that with mp3 files , another
suggestions is typing in the run command, "regsvr32 /u wmp.dll" to
unregister and try again but doesn't work as well...could anyone give me
a hand here before I uninstall Vista and go back to XP pro x64?
Here is the error messge details shown by Windows Media Player 11 once I
try playing an mp3 file.

Re: Windows Media Player 11 for Vista x64 mp3 ERROR
What are the results under WMP's Help:About:Technical Support Information
menu tool?
Is it any particular MP3 file or all MP3 files?
Could you upload a crash dump for this to yousendit or megaupload or
something like that so I could a more in depth look here?
