Whenever we try and do certain things on the computer, we get this error
message:
"The application or dll c:\windows\system32\schannel.dll is not a valid
windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette."
For example, when we try to use Outlook Express, this error will appear and
Outlook Express will not download our emails.
If it helps, this problem did not seem to exist until I downloaded some
recent Microsoft Windows updates.
Thanks in advance for any help.

These things often happen when a machine is infected by a virus or by
malware. You need to scan your machine with a good virus scanner.
