I never ever use WE, and file find EXTREMELY rarely.

Get a real file manager with 2 panes, super-find, custom multi-
rename, FTP, branch view, and dozens of other features built in
and forget about the limitations of Windows "utilities". I use
Total Commander. Free Commander is prettier but has almost the
same features I believe, and is free, for the more frugal folks.

I allways thought that the Find files window was part of the same
thing that draw the taskbar and start menu in Windows98?

About that btw, why the heck isn't the "program" Systray's
functionality included in that? if you kill the Systray process
then the clock and its little systray area is still painted
but without the volume control in it (but still icons from
other programs). Is "systray" the volume control application?

hehe.. you are right!
I have never seen that it is missing though, since I allways
press F3 to search for files when in an file manager window
(and yes it is logically wrong key since F3 should mean
"find next" but MS tend to not do things consistently....)

Now when I try to find a search command in the file manager windows
I do stumble upon View/Explorer field/Search though - but that isn't
for file search I believe, it is for web search with microsofts
newly renamed MSN search... some controls and MSN's new name
(so it must have contacted internet allready there to know it!)
appears in area to the left in the window.... together with and
error/crash dialogbox about "Automation server can't create object" :-/

I haven't played with these kind of things, but thought about it...
where can I find CCtask to try and how do I use it?

It must be hidden in a dll somewhere as it does not show up as a
process while looking at 2 different process managers.
