msimsg.dll file issue

When I run Mcafee virus scan or backup programs they always hang up on
msimsg.dll. Im not sure if its corrupt or not. If so, how can I repair or
overrite this particular dll file?

Is the file-in-question located in C:\WINDOWS\system32 <=this folder?
What's the name of the McAfee application? Is your subscription current?
