Any idea what version of Windows you have (including the service pack

What folder are you opening to install IE 8?

i have a windows xp...and i also need to know what service pack i have?
i dont quite know? do you know how to find out?
the folder is just from the desktop?

Hold down the Windows key and press the Pause|Break key. It will tell
you there.
