No idea why you call it erroneous but if you really don't want this
system item then...
It is a NameSpace item.
Go to REGEDIT.EXE and the CLSID of the icon will be under the key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\mycomputer\NameSpace\
Your strange item should be in this area and be obvious.
It is most likely the standard item...
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\{C56C4E21-706D-11d0-AFC5-444553540002}]

Delete the item when you are sure. It is a good idea to export the
....\NameSpace\ key to a temp.reg file first, in case of errors
If you are uncomfortable doing this, then ignore it. It does no harm.
