A few days ago my computer crashed, but has recovered with no ill effects. It's also happened a few times in the past with no ill effects.

A couple days after that I see this message which I've never seen before. FWIW I'm still using Win7 Pro 32 bit.

The program can't start because api-ms-win-core-winrt-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

The program is Adobe Acrobat. I tried repairing the installation which didn't work. Reinstalling AA didn't work either. Uninstalling and reinstalling AA helped for a couple days, but the problem came back.
I tried downloading what I thought was the correct file, but I couldn't open it and I don't think it was an executable file.

Anyone know the correct file to use or any other way to fix it? Uninstalling and reinstalling AA doesn't seem to be the preferred long term fix.
