windows explorer doesn't show my device

Hi
I have Windows 7, a service pack 1 Laptop; when I connect a Samsung Android phone, it is detected as an MTP device & shown on the devices & printers page. However, windows explorer does not display the machine & its file system. The same phone works with another laptop having the exact driver. Across-checked the versions of all driver dlls /sys files.

Any help is appreciated.
