What version of Windows XP is installed?

What version of Internet Explorer is installed?

I suggest you download and run Spybot S & D (freeware version). There
is a freeware version buried in this link:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/index.html

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
1.36 -freeware (if you upgrade you pay).
http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-An ... 04572.html

Run Malwarebytes' in safe mode and turn off your current anti-virus
before you do to avoid a conflict. Disregard the invitation on the web
site regarding the Registry Optimiser -a Registry Optimiser is not a
helpful utility.

Hope this helps.

Hi Gerry, Sorry it took so long to answer, but I've been away for a few
days.
Now to my problem, took your advice and ran both scans as well as two
or three from Microsoft. I even contacted them and let them run a
hijack this file scan and they remove one item. They also rename the
file. Being curious I opened the .dll file with notepad to see if I
could spot anything that was causing the problem. No luck. I did this
before they ran their scan on my system. Well I don't know what
actually fixed the problem --but I don't have anymore error messages
like I was getting. So I'm satisfied with this part.
Thanks for your help
