Whoa. I used to have hair. Most of it has been pulled out in the last few
hours.
About two weeks ago, Outlook 2003 stopped responding to double clicked
e-mail addresses. The mail program would not open. I'd get an "unspecified
error" message. So I un/re installed Office Pro 2003 and XP Svc pack 3. a
couple of times and reloaded the regsrv32 vbscript.dll "sucessfully." Now
all office programs work fine EXCEPT FOR OUTLOOK. Double click and outlook
begins to open. I get a "configuring outlook" popup, then the "Failed to
register a VB Script DLL. Reinstall or fun Regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll to self
register. A requested action was not successful do to "AN UNSPECIFIED
ERROR." I can't get past the first screen or two. The Outlook screen opens
with the color logo and a box "Configure Outlook" with a couple of tasks
listed. How do I fix it - my life is in those Outlook .psts?
OUCH!. There goes more hair. I've seen most posts around the net regarding
this but have yet to see a real solution. HELP!

You're asking your Outlook question in a Windows XP newsgroup, which
is not at all a good idea. Besides its being off-topic here, you are
much more likely to get the help you need if you would ask in an
Outlook newsgroup, since that's where the Outlook experts hang out.

Negative. It will not open with any of the switches.
I'll take this question elsewhere. I was directed here by another group.
