fdphost.dll

Post by maarten »

For one year know, I have Vista Home Basic. After a couple of "starting"
problems with the hardware, I thought it all worked well.
Now I have got a strange error about fdphost32.dll.
In the "title" of the error the name of the application I want to start
appears (I always get it when I start a new application). Then (I do not have
an English system, but I'll try to translate it as much as I can):
C:\Windows\System32\fdPHost32.dll is not available for Windows or contains an
error. Try to install this programme again by using the right installation
media or contact the systemowner (myself) or the softwareseller for support.

How do I stop this, is a reset enough, and is there a way to recover files
and programmes by a reset (e.g. Office)?

Thank you very much in advance,

Maarten
P.S. I'm sorry for my English...

When I do a file search I cannot find any file called fdphost32.dll
I only have fdphost.dll.
If you are seeing fdphost32.dll in an error box it may indicate an
infection by malware.
Try running MalwareBytes:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/
Download the free version and run it in safe mode.
